as most of you know.....my father in law passed away a few days ago......and we were in ohio for 9 days.......4 of those days were spent nearly
around the clock at the nursing home.............
well.........we got home and couple days later my hub got a lump on his inner leg..looked like an ingrown hair.....small lump turned into a goose egg size lump after he tried to squeeze the infection out..........well yesterday...we spent the day at doctors office......letting them lance it...drain it...ect
had to go back today.....let them remove the packing........now...ive spent last two days playing nurse and fetch it girl.....lol.......
now its a wait and see game until the culture comes back..........we are praying it isnt mersa........right now they are calling it a staff infection........but doctor said the nursing home would have been a perfect place to catch mersa......

he has been in soooooooo much pain with this thing....high fever ect............
not to mention.....the cost of the doctor visits.........and him missing nearly 2 weeks work while we were in ohio.........now he has been off two more days.......and they wanted him to stay off all next week........but said if he feels like working he can.....praying the rebates start rolling in......to cover some of his lost pay........

thank god they didnt put him in hospital today like they had planned........but since swelling and redness was going away..they decided not too..... 1|1|hope things get better for you....(M)|kthy26|kthy26@yahoo.com|08:14:37|04/25/2009|

My dad had MRSA and he got his on the end of his finger the first time and what your husband has sounds exactly like what my dad experienced. Its very painful with a high fever and once you have MRSA you are always a carrier of the disease or so they told my dad and he has had it again since the 1st time he got it on his face from a little tiny tiny knick he got when he shaved so the smallest scratch can turn into MRSA so tell your husband to be very very careful now.

Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers

God Bless
