I am planning my daughter's 15th birthday party as an Amazing Birthday Race. I was wondering if any of you could help me come up with some Road blocks or detours. I know it's hard to come up with these ideas as you have no way of knowing the area that I will be having the party at but they don't need to be specific. I've searched online so I have most of the ones that are discussed online however not all of them will work for me as the party is an outdoor party, not indoor.
For example, one of the detours I have is:
You will need to go into Wal-greens and buy a birthday card for Elena. Both team members must sign the birthday card, place it in the envelope, write Elena's name on the outside and hand to chauffer to receive the next clue.
Another I have is - There is a grocery store in this shopping center so they have to go to the grocery store parking lot and get a shopping cart from the parking lot and return it to the inside of the store....this helps out the store and ME TOO! :0) These are the types of clues/assignments I'm looking for.
Her party is scheduled for the end of next month so I still have time but I have been thinking of road blocks/clues/detours for about 2 weeks now and I feel I'm at a dead end.
The main part of the race will be at a place called VILLAGE AT SANDHILL (http://www.villageatsandhillonline.com/)

1. Get a specific napkin from one of the market place locations. I'm not sure who has special named napkins maybe Panera, Starbucks or Ritas.
2. Maybe have them get a certain type of earrings from one of the cheap earring places like Icing or Claires.. like say sandal earrings something you could give your daughter or say summer themed maybe.
3. Or maybe a checking deposit slip or savings deposit slip from one of the banks if they would be open that day.
4. An empty fry container from Five Guys should be easy to acquire.

How about having each team go to a specific PUBLIC location and write and sing a birthday song for your daughter? Maybe have them incorporate specific words in the song to make it a little more difficult -- maybe her name, her favorite color or food, etc. That would prevent them from simply singing "Happy Birthday" :) 3|3|THANKS! One of my ideas would be: Have the teams take a shopping bag and have them pick up 15- 20 each (or what ever number you pick) of aluminum cans and plastic bottles. They must not go to a trashcan or recycle bin to pick them out.

make sure each team has a camara and you could do the following and they must take picture of this go into a store and try on 2 items something from (your daugthers favorite brand/store)roxy comes to mind for my daughter,
have them take a picture with a total stranger and get there autograph
have them open the door and say something nice to the person entering the mall for a specific amount of time and the must photo graph 3 of the times
get a certin amount of job applications,bussiness cards,shopping bags,napkins
go to halmark/any store and put on a funky hat and sing a birthday song or daughters favorite song
have them tell 15 strangers that its(your daughters name)birthday not a group of people but 15 indevidual people
go to the kids play area sing a song to the kids or play a hand game must show proof(photto)
