I just got a bill for a Dr that "helped" my Dr during my surgery in Feb saying I owe money towards my deductable which I met in Jan it shows on another insurance print out that he is not in network so that is a whole other deductable :( But how do I know he helped? I saw noone other than my Dr and the anesthesiologist
Can one protest? lol 1|1|dr's and dentists have all kinds of scams including doing unnecessary 'work' that they can bill you for|glennie58|glenn_scott@alumni.ksg.harvard.edu|09:17:38|04/17/2009|

I would contact the primary doctor in this case and ask who asked this guy to do anything... I would protest, after the number of times I've been ripped off I don't just let it go anymore.... spent 3,000+ to get two front teeth that fall out whenever they feel like it in plantation fl, doctor zahler, OMG I wish I could sue this guy... 2|1|TALK to the insurance co. A resident could have helped to gain more experience. Technically, residents are doctors, and they do bill you for services. We have a medical school here in town, so that happens a lot here.

I complained to my doctor's office and they wrote a letter explaining why they needed an assistant for the surgery. But yeah, you have no control over who shows up after you're under --- hope you get it worked out.

try and say that you can't have them but you are have every RIGHT to see them and to get a copy of them. If they don't let you then tell them you will
contact the Insurance Commissioner for your state.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has clarified the rights of patients to review their medical records.

This was at Sloan-Kettering, a leading cancer and teaching hospital. My mother called the doctor, described my father's condition, and asked him to check his notes to know what my father actually said--as the primary relative she was permitted to know. She never heard from him again. My family has excellent insurance but we certainly didn't want to be party to a rip-off.
