One was in fromt of me with $150 in purchases with good stuff: turkey breast and steak.

You shouldn't judge people, sometimes people do need some help and foodstamps are one way that help supplement their income. I know there are people that do take advantage of foodstamps, I've seen it when I was a cashier at Walmart, but there are alot of families that do need them. Maybe the person in front of you use to pay taxes too for many years and now needs some help. I'm sorry but it just offended me the way you said about taxpayers paying their way. Not all people on foodstamps are lowlifes. I had to get foodstamps when I was a single mom due to my son's father being a deadbeat dad. I got $76 a month, not alot but I was grateful for them and I wasn't abusing the system and I was a taxpayer too. Anyways I think you shouldn't judge others, until you are in their position. Sorry just had to say what was on my mind. Rebekka

I need to take lessons from you. 32|4|Nope I wasn't in front of you and I don't drive a Nissan, I can't afford a new car, even though we've gone through alot now with hubby's cancer, we never got any foodstamps, medical insurance free or anything, right now we don't even have insurance, we pay cash and dr bills are expensive. My husband served in Iraq and other parts of the world and we can't even get any type of medicaid or anything. So please don't get all snippy with me, until you've walked a mile in someone else's shoes, don't judge others, you sound like a bitter person to me~*~|RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|21:27:13|04/18/2009|

I just can't believe how badly couponers are treated vs to people who use foodstamps.
The person in front of me has not used a single coupon.
I only had one item and could not use my lousy coupon because i did not have my glasses on and picked the wrong size OJ.
Some people know how to use the system.
Or maybe you can get a brand new car with foodstamps these days.
34|2|I'm sorry if I sounded aggressive, it just upset me the way you said things cause some people do need help, but I do agree, there are alot of them that do abuse the system and it's said cause it ruins it for the rest that really need the help. One thing to think about too, is that the person in front of you could've been a caregiver or family member shopping for a shut in or something, just a thought :)|RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|21:44:46|04/18/2009|
