Life support will be shut off this weekend to see what God's will is with Bruce. They operated on his hip to stop all exterior & interior bleeding but so far the hip is not responding whatever this means. He has opened his eyes & looked around but again involuntary or voluntary it is not known, he moved his fingers & his toes on one foot but again they say it could be nerves that are damaged,dying or good, they just don't know. Will he walk,they don't know, will he breathe on his own they don't know. So everything hinges on this weekend. Will update when I know.To add to this mess, a cousin of mine was in a major wreck yesterday, she is just hanging on & her 3 yr. old has 15 fractures of the skull & is bleeding from the nose, ears & eyes, so technically he is dead, only life support is keeping him hanging on right now, as we understand it.

We took Bryce to see his dad today as tomorrow they will start removing life support. All will be removed by Sun. except for a trach tube since they know his lungs will collapse once the respirator is removed. Was not a pretty day. His eyes are rolled back into his head & have turned a milky blue color, his hand is constantly twitching like it is not attached, the bottom half of his body looks like it is flat. Bryce's grandma, Bruces mom, forced Bryce to hold his dad's hand & he was pretty upset & scared. My daughter & her had some words & now she is banned from hospital so we probably won't know anything unless he dies. Sad situation that a child has to be caught in the middle of mess like this & scared. He can't understand why they are telling him that daddy will be sitting up & talking tomorrow when he knows that we have told him that daddy might die & if not daddy might never be the daddy that he knows. He keeps asking us why his grandma & grandpa are lying to him. I keep telling him that they are not lying, but are just so full of hope that they really believe that daddy is going to be okay but he's not buying it. He's so mad at them right now it's pitiful.

They tell Bryce that everything is wonderful & daddy is doing fantastic. We know that life support was removed on Mon. & a trach tube was inserted as he cannot breath on his own. They did some more surgery, seems he landed on something that ruptured his anus as big as a person's head, so they were stapling this together the best they could. He still is in CCU. That is all we know as they refuse to talk to Penni since they are mad, because she refused to let Bryce stay at the hospital all weekend with Bruce being in such bad shape. She's afraid that he might die or take a turn for the worse & Bryce will be there with no one to help as his grandparent's are strange!!!!

They just keep telling Bryce that daddy will be walking in 6 months & everything will be just great. There is no way that Bruce will walk in 6 mo. if ever, he has 3 fractures of the back, his spine is injured, still to swollen for them to know how bad, his hip & pelvis bone are completely shattered. Say he will have to have hip replacement surgery in future & talking about building a cage around the pelvic area as it's that bad, plus a broken leg. I know they want to believe that this is true but anyone with any brains know it is not. He has only been stable 10 hours in 2 weeks, that's not good. The nurse did tell Penni before she left that they were pretty sure that he was blind, whether it is temporary due to severe bruising of the brain or not they are not sure. More than half his brain is severly bruised, to what extent as to permanent damage they cannot tell. Sad situation, as we feel Bryce needs to know so we can prepare him for the worse or whatever, plus whether they believe it or not, we really feel bad. He was my son in law for almost 8 yr. & we don't want to see him suffering either.

Cousin is out of hospital & sent to court mandated rehab, she lost custody of her 4 kids, which is great, should have happened a long time ago, sorry to say. Life support was shut off on baby & he surprised everyone, he's responding & talked yesterday, believe it or not. Side of his skull is crushed, & his face is drooped due to nerve damage but they say he is doing wonderful & with many months of rehab he will probably regain 98% of his abilities due to his age. His family couldn't believe it as they were told he was only alive due to life support.God does work miracles. Thank you for your prayers, cousin didn't deserve them but baby did. She had this baby in a car seat but it wasn't buckled nor attached to the car, they were shooting up herion while they were driving. Her boyfriend is in jail & after rehab she is looking at jail also. Don't feel a bit sorry for her.

his kidney's are giving out & Dr. says they will quit functioning by tonight, so will be put on dialasis, also he is majorly hemmoraging, so they were rushing him into surgery to find out where it was coming from. Told his parent's that he was in such bad shape now, that he might not make it out. Will let you know if we hear more. His cousin called Penni, because she thinks she should know.

Bruce was rushed into surgery but they were unable to do it due to instability so they just clamped the bleeding area off, it's in his stomach. While on table his heart became very irractic & it took almost 2 hr. to stabilize it. They tried to hook him up to dialysis & his heart started acting up again, finally got that on, they are saying that his liver is not functioning properly now neither, they also found another hole in his liver. He has been moved up to the top of the critical list again. Told family to go home, there's nothing that anyone can do except pray. Really believe that his body is shutting down & he's not going to make it. His dad called Bryce last night & this information came from him.
