I can't remember exactly the problem, but I think it was frustrating to set up (and my dad used to be an engineer), and they couldn't even get the 4 channels that they had before they got it.

They ended up getting a satellite dish.

think I,ll stick to cable. They say it is suppose be be really good and you can get up to like 50 channels with one. Thank you so much for the info I'm sure I won't change if it doesn't do what they say it is suppose to do. That is really sad to tell people that and it doesn't do that at all. 5|1|Must depend on where you live and the kind of recept ion you had before.....|Quietwaters|Quietwaters39@hotmail.com|14:13:48|03/23/2009|

We get more channnels than before and they are all crystal clear. The only thing I don't like, is it takes a little bit longer to change the channels, maybe cable is that way too. Just counted, we get 44 channels. Now of course some of the channels are sub channels, like we get 7, (normal NBC, or whatever it is,) 7.1,(weather), 7.2 (sports). I like that we get many more pbs channels, so you can always find cooking on. We have several that play older movies and shows. Also many more Christian channels, we only had one before.

Using our antenna we only got one station, the local one. Which we watched csi, ghost whisperer etc. We got the box and cannot pick up the local channel anymore :( we get 3 other channels that are public television ones, they are all travel and that sort of thing.

Now our neighbors on the other hand, one it didn't work at all, so they bought the amplifier for it and get all kinds of channels, my hubby called radio shack and it costs 60.00 for one :(

Another neighbor has his antenna on top of his silo and gets all kinds of channels.

Apparently it all depends on where you are and how high your antenna is :( 9|2|Our antenna is on the side of the house and is pretty high so maybe that makes thediference....|Quietwaters|Quietwaters39@hotmail.com|18:19:11|03/23/2009|

I can't believe people are having so much trouble with them. We had been on direct tv but since we mostly watch network TV we decided to get the converter boxes and save some cash. So I have one on the upstairs tv and one on the living room tv. My DH set up a $50 TV antenna for the first floor tv and then built an antenna out of foam board, foil and a little transformer box (it all cost $5) to put in the attic for the upstairs tv. I get all the network channels except Fox. We did have to play with how the antennas were pointed to get the best reception. Also, some TV stations have not fully converted over to digital yet so the signal will be stronger after the deadline. So we spent a total of $75 and we will be saving $1200 this year on TV costs. Got to love it.

Hope this helps,
Michelle 17|2|Also we tried an amplifier and it didn't increase signal strength at all...don't waste your money|mmj2236|sasha@mccarvill.mv.com|09:16:45|03/25/2009|
