Oh....it's me!
I was cycling down a hill & this car just appeared in front of me out of nowhere! So I slammed on my brakes & went flying, landing on my head & side. I'm so glad I wore my helmet!
I skinned lots of me including 1 side of my face & was bloody all over the place! There were cars behind me & this really kind woman got out to see if I was alright. She wouldn't leave my side until I convinced her that I was ok. I was a bit dizzy for a couple of hours but I'm fine now, just really shaken. I was too scared to get back on my bike to I walked it down to the store. On my way there I bumped into the owner of the bike shop that I got it from & told him what had just happened. After making sure I was ok he told me to bring my bike in & he'd fix it for a mere $10!! I broke the light & the seat is in bits. Not sure what other damage was done :( I've only had this bike for a few weeks & it cost me over $500.
And the driver of the car that made me fly.....well he didn't even blink an eye lid!!

I called my DH when I got home. I know this sounds silly, but I figured if I told him what had happened & I died or something at least he'd know what caused it. I didn't tell him that of course. But after hearing about poor Natasha Richardson, even though I had my helmet on I'm a little nervous :(

I started feeling really dizzy & nauseated so I called my DH at work. He told me to call the 24hr Blue Cross Blue Shield nurse. After speaking to her she told me to hang up & call 911 & not move from where I was until the emergency services arrived. I had a cat scan & stuff. Nothing's broken, I'm just bashed & bruised & concussed :( I'm covered in bandages & my knee's wrapped up. I look like a mummy! But at least no major or permanent damage was done.

I have to stay in bed for at least rested for 24-36 hours. I still have dizziness & a massive headache :(
