I shop at the Paducah alot as I never get as much as a hard time as I do in Hoptown (KY) well today I left there glad I got my stuff but feeling like I was stealing something. I had a handfull of coupons yet no where near what I usualy have to do a major shop as I only needed a few things but as usual the clerk needed a override well the woman came to over ride and yelled at the clerk for that they only take $40.00 in coupons no matter how many items are purchased and not to make that mistake again. SINCE WHEN! I asked when did this policy take palce and I was informed it has always been that way. I said that was news to me and was told that she has been at that store for 3 years now and that I didnot know what I was talking about and if I was getting away with using over $40.00 in coupons I was wrong and the cashier should be in trouble. Well the poor cashier was so upset. I said look if its going to cause problems just void my order and that be that well oh no we cant do that as you alread used your card but next time you will know better and so will she. I feel bad for that clerk. I stood my ground, I had just checked out with 10 bottles of body wash, with 2.00 coupons, no problems, then checked out 34 bags of Iams with 5.00 coupons, they all scanned but needed an overide and the csm refused, called the asst mgr and mgr and they all refused, it was all because it said limit 1 coupon per purchase(which the body wash coupo said the same thing)... I say, yes and how many bags am I purchasing, 34, so how many coupons can I use, 1....duh !!! Mam, the computor won't take it, I said yes it did, it is just asking for an overide because of the dollar amount, no mam...blah, blah, blah... I'm like well you can call corporate because I KNOW that I am right on this, the mgr never would show his face, but the asst FINALLY found the coupon policy and guess who was right???? It states that you can use 40 coupons OR 50.00 in coupons without an overide, anything over requires an overide, which they finally did....soooo next time you have a problem, tell them to call James @ the London, Ky store, I'm sure he isn't gonna forget me OR the coupon policy, LOL
3|1|I did call the store manager and he let me know he was going to talk to her boss. I had the store policy with me and was told it was not the real deal even thought I made sure it had the part that said it came form walmart website. The manager did have me read the policy and yes it is real and will have the woman find hers and read it. Yes I was getting the Iams also and some buddies soap and 2 24 lb turkeys and other foods.
