starting on thursday someone has been calling my house phone
yesterday they said a stupid remark and hung up
today they called and of course i didn't answer i was asleep
i do not recognize the number
so i was wondering if there was any site i could go to to look up a phone number to see who it belongs to
or if the phone co would tell me who it is or if they could block the number with out charging me
has any one had these problems before
and if i can find out who it is and it continues is there anyway to get them to quit or would i have to press charges against them
soo many questions i hope for some answers

to know their name ....and what police dept they are calling for/or out of..........odds are......its not even the Fraturnal order of police...saw in the local papers here...many times......large ad stating do not give to anyone placing calls saying they are fraturnal order of police...the ad says they do not solicite...for money and sure do ask for credit card numbers and such..............
my dad was getting these calls......until i called the police dept and reported it...and gave them the number they called from.........you could have your number put on the do not call list.............i have not gotten calls from phone solicitors in yrs...on my home phone..but i did get one on my cell phone a wk or so ago............i asked for their name.....and how they got my number ..they hung up and have never called again 8|3|we got one of those calls once too (m)|Beaglesfly|lmllr77@aol.com|15:08:40|03/21/2009|
And I questioned the gentleman, he said that at least 10% of what they get is passed onto the police. At least 10%? That probably means 10.1%. That's ridiculous! I wasn't planning on giving to begin with, but surely wouldn't after that!
lauren 9|4|Here in Mayfield, is a building that has the call center for these people - used to have the FOP sign on front.. they hire high school kids for $10 an hr. that is where 90% goes - to their computors, building and kids calling. They do make calls here.. and hire kids to do the calling.
