I just got a wood desk and chair on freecycle.
The desk is going to need to be refinished and the chair is in need of refinishing and a deep clean for the fabric.
It is a simple wood chair with a cushioned fabric seat and back. I was hoping I could remove and replace the fabric but it doesn't look like it will be all that easy to take the chair apart and try to replace the fabric. My husband just wants to throw the chair away...but I think it has great potential if we could only clean the fabric...it really is a mess! Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could deep clean the fabric.
Thanks, Barb 1|1|i'd use a steam cleaner to clean it..that way it will pull all the dirty water back out and leave the fabric clean and only slightly damp...|HONEY11|HONEY1@AMERITECH.NET|21:52:36|03/15/2009|

2|1|If you dont have a carpet shampooer with attachments...I would recommend you use a solution of vinegar and water, sponge it on, scrub it in, blot it dry with towels and then let it dry. If you have tough stains, pretreat those with a mild dish soap and water solution and scrub with a toothbrush first.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:53:54|03/15/2009|

...but I will try the vinegar and water.

Thank again!!! 4|2|Do you have a wet vac (like Shopvac)? You could use that to suck the vinegar and water solution out of the fabric too :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|10:17:18|03/16/2009|
