thanks friends for those of you who prayed for me during my stress test.
It was rough, Took them 5 times to get a vein to put the radioactive tracer in.
I go back in 2 weeks to talk to the dr. The tech told me I had so much fluid on me,
that when they stuck me fluid came out instead of blood. The dr did come in for a minute
and the fluid has came back around my heart. ugh, rough day

I'm crying, Dr called and said something is wrong w/ the top of my heart. I go back in 2 weeks, then she called back and wants me to come in before hand.
She said I will defintely have to have a catherazation. If Megan was in better shape I wouldn't worry about it so much. I am really upset and can't focus on anything tonight. Thanks for praying.

I know when we hear of something w/the heart, we're automatically frightened to death about what all could possibly be wrong, & we think the worst.
It may be something as simple as a muscle or small vessel or 2 that are a little weaker than it should be & medication can easily help w/that. My mom had a catheterization thru the wrist 4 yrs. ago as they thought she might have a blockage which they had planned to fix while doing the cath. Turns out there was no blockage at all so nothing to fix & it's just that some of the smaller vessels are merely a little weaker than they should be, which they said was likely due to long-term high blood pressure that her previous dr. hadn't been treating as appropriately/aggressively as he could have. It isn't any major vessels so not too overly much to be concerned about but the cardiologist did change her bp medication to help those vessels along a little better.
The worst part about the whole thing was our worrying of course, but then too, they had a dickens of a time getting the IV started cuz her veins were so flat from the fasting she had to do beforehand. ;) Once they finally got the IV in, I think the whole process took all of about 15-20 min., if that.
Your dr. probably wants you to come in beforehand just to go over the catheterization process w/you & explain how it works, the preparation & what all they CAN do, if needed, while in there, to help EASE your fears. ;)

They moved my apt w/ my cardiolgist up to this coming wed.
I have alot of questions for her.Thanks for praying and crying.
One good thing is that Mike took me out to eat lunch today at
a cafeteria and he is being really nice too.
