they take all the same information as they would if you were buying a membership and they give you a 1 day pass, the catch is that if you buy anything it will be marked up 10% above sam's lowest price. sooooooooooooooooooo, if you are buying a high ticket item such as a tv it would make more sense to get the day pass to look around, decide what you want to buy and then buy a membership to get the savings. hth :)
