Im attempting this myself this weekend it might get interesting, lol. I got all my supplies i think, lol Most of them are pretty small and i can just patch with a little mud and tape but there are a few that i have to cut out and completly replace the drywall in this is where it might get interesting, lol. My ex did this for a living and i watched him and helped him enough that i think that i can do it myself i guess we will see wont we!!!!

When I worked afternoons I would get home way after midnight. I took the old walls down overnight and put the new drywall up while my wife and kids slept. Mind you not all in one night butover a few nights People used to ask me why I did it that way I figured the kids were little so its tough to watch them and do the work while my wife was in college. To take the old walls down I cut between the studs and took out wall sized sections then all you have to do is clean off the studsand remove the nails. When I would hang the sheetrock I would hold the piece up put a screw in the middle then one in each of the corners. I put these ones in by hand so nobody would get woken up then in the morning I would tighten them and put the other screws in. When the girls got older they would help me measure and hold things in place for me. I have found that women are much better at mudding and taping. I use the 2 sided tape now when I dop this type of work and sponges instead of sandpaper.
