I knew my birthday was coming, but up until yesterday I had not really thought about it too much. My sister called and wanted to know what I wanted to do for my 40th....that just doesn't look right and sounds terrible...lol...I mean I do not feel like I should be turning that age....Is anyone else about to turn 40 this year? I don't really know if I felt any different turning 40, it just seems once you get past 30 birthdays go really fast. At age 40 I was the mom of an 11 month old, a 7 1/2 year old and a 20 year old. So at times I felt young, then I felt old..LOL...I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Hugs, Rebekka

I don't remember life going by so fast prior to age 30 but then again I had my first son at age 30 so it could have been due to kids rather than my age. I have a 9 yo DS and a 4 yo DS. I don't turn til Oct but I have no plans, nor do I view it as any special bday for me. I think turning 30 was the big one for me...I always thought you could still be wild and fun thru the 20s but then 30 just seemd OLD lol.

In May. I'm actually looking forward to it as I have been working hard at losing weight and getting into shape and I'm hoping I'll be able to splurge on a little clothes shopping around my b-day.

I'll be 45 soon but I remember turning 30 & 40 as no big deal either. About the only thing is I'd like to lose some of my "exess baggage" around the middle so I've started to try & exercise more cuz I'm out of shape, but I've been out of shape w/slower metabolism cuz of depo-provera shots since my early 30's so that's nothing new. ;-p LOL

I can't imagine having toddlers at this age lol. Mine are 21, 17 and 10 (going on 20). Some days I feel like 50 and then some days like 21. I'll be moving on my birthday so nothing special planned for the BIG 4-0.

I know exactly what you are going through. It is not so much turning older, it is that time goes so dang fast! I remember when my kids were babies and now they are 10 and 7. Once they hit school....time just flies by!

Just turned 40 this past December and it wasn't bad at all. Turning 30 was worse for me, not sure why. I am actually glad to be 40, wouldn't want to be in my 20s, I was such a butthead then! lol
Have a great birthday and don't stress over turning 40, its only a number...it doesn't determine your worth or make you old at all.
