The smoke was coming out from the back of the washer. I guess i was lucky it did not start a fire.<BR>We bought it in 2001 and purchased an extended warrany for 5 years, but now, it is over 7 years old. I am not going to have it fixed. I will buy a new one, so if anyone knows of a sale going on, please post.

Something like that.<BR>We are afraid of fire, so investing $400 in a new machine is a small price to pay.<BR>And we are helping an economy.
