0|0|Feeling sad tonight--|bcmunns|bcmunns@bellsouth.net|18:48:11|02/26/2009|<center><font size="1" color="#000099" class="f_postedon">Posted on Feb-26-09 at 06:48 PM (Eastern) by 74.162.147.14</font></center><p>My work place let some people go today and it is always so sad to see your friends and co-workers lose their job<P>But I do not know that it will not be me tomorrow even though I have been told I have nothing to worry about but the bottom line is you are just a number at a job<P>I am just 2 years from early retirement and 5 years from full retirement and some of these today fell in that category so you never know how they choose the ones they let go--
1|1|Betty, I am sorry....the layoffs and closings are everywhere....I bet not one of us doesnt know someone who has lost their job, or lost a job themselves. He should be back to work next week hopefully, the worry is if his company shuts down, how do you plan for that.<P>I do thank God, that one day a week, has kept our insurance, his pension, and he gets his full unemployment. I have a run-around with the unemployment, ss, medicare, and supp ins.  I would have been able to retire in Sept of this year or at the latest the end of the year and I would have had full retirement then.  Instead, I had to take early ss and lose about $65 a month.  That $65 would have paid for something else so I know what you are saaying.  Good luck!!!  Patsy
