My area & several other counties around here are currently under a Winter Storm Warning. We just got done getting pelted w/quite a bit of sleet so it looks like small hail laying on the ground. It's currently raining w/freezing rain mixed in. It's eventually supposed to turn to all snow w/as much as 4" to 10" predicted before it's all over. All this yet a neighboring county right below mine was just issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning! Sheesh! LOLOL

The thunderstorm did graze us so we did get some lightning & thunder in the rain/freezing rain mix. That then turned into another good coating of sleet & now it's snowing. LOL
However, it is a bad enough mess here that all the colleges in the area have closed, something they NEVER do, & the state trooper has put out an alert for NO travel unless an emergency.
It was obviously warm enough for the rain, & we got a good downpour of it for awhile, but what's really problematic is that the temp has been dropping, thus the freezing rain/sleet/snow, & is supposed to get down into the teens tonight. After all the rain we got, it is not going to be very nice w/all that ice underneath the snow. :(
