it was announced like a month ago that the owner had put the gym up for sale well i asked what would happen if no one bought it and i was told not to worry they had someone interested in buying so i didnt think about it anymore. well yesterday when i went to work out the manager was there and was telling everyone that Friday is the last day the gym would be open because the owner had decided to close. no notice nothing the manager is willing to help us find a curves and let us transfer our memberships but i'm so sad because i loved that curves and the people there so i had my membership transferred to another curves lastnight but everyone was devastated when they were finding out there were people crying and the manager was crying it was just very very sad and i was sad all evening yesterday. I have done so well with curves and the curves smart program and now the curves that i'm going to doesnt have the curves smart and is a little further away but there is not another one any closer so i dont have a choice but to suck it up and move on
just had to sob a little this morning before leaving for work.
Curves is still a great gym. I have lost 25lbs and 30 total body inches since starting there in november and want to lose more more more

well and have seen other Curves closed in towns that I have passed thru recently as well. Sign of the bad times am sure. Have to have a LOT of business to pay the rent, electric and so forth and no jobs equal no money to spend on that kind of thing. Sure hope it all works out for you..
