Okay so you will NOT believe this:
My five neighbors and I each got a letter yesterday from Comcast stating they HAVE to terminate our services because apparantely the land their wires are on (the telephone poles) are on our neighbor's land and he is refusing to give them an easement (after five years of living here) so they have no choice but to discontinue all their services to us (which means no internet, no cable and no phone)....
I live on a private road owned by my neighbor on the right side of me. He is an attorney and the BIGGEST ass in the entire world....well I guess two years ago he decided since he paid to have the telephone poles put in that he should be able to charge comcast money for allowing them to supply the five of our homes (which he sold the land to have built) cable....and apparently he has this right....but seriously what kind of neighbor does this??? Anyway, I guess the demands he was making of comcast was unrealistic and he wouldn't settle for what they offered him so he told them he wants everyone cut off immediately ...they told him they HAD to give us a 30 day notice.....
Okay so we get he has this right....but we should have been told before we all bought 400,000 homes that we would NOT be allowed to have cable, etc....seems to me like there may be something we can do about this...in another form so we are all consulting legal expertise to find out exactly what our rights are...seriously this guy is the lowest....how sad!
I should also add that there has been no falling out....we were actually at a Christmas party at their house over this last Christmas...

when we got divorced about thirteen years ago...I actually almost got him kicked out of court by the judge because I was representing myself and this turkey kept jingling his keys in his pocket while I was talking and the judge had to warn him TWICE to stop that and when he did it again he told him if he had to tell him to stop again he was going to kick him out of the courtroom... Anyway all has been well between all of us for the last five years we have lived here....
PS...he lost the case against me anyway LOL!

I've done a ton of research and have spoken to a lawyer....it appears there's other issues that need to be addressed as well and the lawyers we've all spoken to definately say we have a case.....that's why I want to hold out on any publicity because I want to know all of our alternatives first.... 16|5|U GO GIRL stick to your guns and know yours and your neighbors rights !!!!!!!
