back in january.... days before the huge ice storm we had.(i dont know exact date).....i made a trade for some forms.....total was 3.78......i paid in pp............
i usually wait about 2 weeks before i contact anyone about a missing trade....we were out of power for 2 weeks.....
in the mean time .....i still havent gotten this trade.........so.......as im just now getting things settled down.....after no power and such......i finally get around to questioning the person why i hadnt gotten this trade...............
she seems to think ....because i waited about contacting her.....she isnt obligated to make it right.........
she states if she had known......she could have replaced it.....but her forms are expired....ect..ect.........some things i cant control................
my question is.......is she still obligated to make this right? i say she is............as i would if i had been the one trading forms...i would make it right.......

Look, she didn't email me and had internet access to do so. Do a search... you will see she had internet and mail service long ago enough to be able to tell me she didn't get it. She emailed me 5 weeks after the trade was made and said she didn't get it.....
The forms expired in the mean time. She had an obligation to tell me that they didn't arrive. 5 weeks? Come on. If you blow a date for a rebate, do you blame the company because you can't read your calendar?
I offered her half back.. there comes a point where you have to accept responsibility for your part in this fiasco. She had internet, she had no problems posting to the board, but because she didn't go through her mail or emails in a timely manner, that's my fault? I would have replaced those items in enough time. It isn't like she emailed me and I stalled til the forms expired, people! She just emailed me recently about them.
It's always nice to gang up on the other guy, but y'all forget there's two sides here. I just don't think it is fair that she waited so long. She had ample opportunity to tell me she didn't get them. Ice storm aside, she got mail at least by February 6 and posted frequently. Considering the circumstances, I thought half was pretty fair. It isn't fair to penalize the other side when you don't do your own part to make a trade go smoothly. She could have posted here or emailed. She didn't.

with the ice storm I can totally understand why it wasn't high on her list to keep up on what emails came in while trying to keep up living and staying warm in the conditions she was not to mention the fact she has a special needs child who I know must have been hard to keep life as normal for him as possible It was heck to do so here for my Mom during the whol;e mess here Some things do take over sometimes where things get out of hand If it was the other way where she owed you and the mail sat there for days like it did here and then it went a missing also like it did here ( and it only had to go 25 miles)she would make good 8|3|I get that Tina, but she had no problem posting about rebates received in the mail on Feb 6. I mean, I see both sides of the story but I also think if you have time to go on the computer to post that you are looking for other items then you should have time to email someone that you did not receive their trade. I realize alot was going on at the time but I know if I could get on the computer then I would have emailed asking where the forms were. She didn't contact me til Feb 19. She posted on the 6th about getting mail (a bunch of checks) ... and didn't email me til the 19th. She also posted after the storm (see previous post) about getting checks.
The point is she had mail service, she had email service, yet she didn't "get around" to emailing me til the 19th (5 weeks after the trade????) I'm not saying you guys weren't hit hard by ice. I'm just saying that she could have emailed me sooner, yet chose not to for whatever reason. Because she didn't alert me to not getting the trade, I could not have replaced them. If she wants to wait til I find other forms good in KY, that's fine too. I just don't think it is fair to demand a full refund when it isn't my fault she is too busy to check her email and match trades up with what came (or didn't) in the mail.

Yes, you should have gotten them by then as you just admitted; however, how was I to know that? You never emailed me til 2/19 to tell me otherwise. I am not trying to rip you off... she did say that she had other things important to do when she got the power on and one of those being making sure the trades she had were done so why not take the time to email the other person to let her know you didn't receive her end since trading was on your mind? Again it is just my opinion but why should the other person be out the whole amount? If she has nothing to send to replace then why not each be out half? In this case, knowing how easily it could have gotten lost in the mail because of chaos during the time of the ice storm, if I was the buyer, I would have asked the seller if she could replace and if she couldn't (or if the forms had expired), I'd just forget about it. I wouldn't feel right asking for the whole amount or even the whole amount in credit. Especially knowing that I didn't email her in time to let her know about it so that she could issue a replacement.
I mean, this isn't a case where the seller is suspect or even that it's likely that she forgot to mail....it seems much more likely that it got lost in the mail system along the way.
But that's just me....I'd rather let it go when it's such a small trade rather than raise my blood pressure trying to work it out. :)
