I just can't believe that my electric bill is over $500!
The last bill was $267 and the one before that was $327.
I just can't believe it could be that much! I am always following everyone around turning lights off ~ ALL the time!
And we have a gas stove and a gas dryer...so where is all this electric coming from anyway???
I don't know how I'm going to pay this...I only budgeted about $350.00 for this bill...ugh!!!
It really, really bothers me that I just do not have the ability to pay my bills the way I used to...and until the housing market turns around my husband's business will continue to be SLOW and every time we get paid from a job and I think "ok, now I can pay some bills and try to dig out of this giant HOLE we are in..." another unexpected bill comes along!!! I just don't know what to do anymore....ugh, ugh, ugh!!!!

perhaps they didn't actually check it last motnh and "guestimated" it thus giving you a larger bill this month.

I don't get an actual bill...it is emailed to me...
But that would be awful...if that's what they did...I wonder how I can plan for which months are estimates and which ones are actuals...ugh...again!

My electric is never more then 80$'s and we have electric everything and that is not being on the budget plan so if mine showed up and was that much i would just die.

...so looking back at my usage (posted on my account online) I used a similar amount February 2008 but was only charged about $330. One year later February 2009 it's over $500!!! Like the ones that check and see if if you can conserve by changing appliances or if something isn't running correctly. I think they call them energy audits. If so you should get one. Maybe you can't afford to replace things but at least you will know what you are running that is sucking down the electricity and you can adapt your habits with it. I had my electric bill down to $85 last month but then my husband did his own laundry and used the dryer so our bill is up to $120 this month. Our dryer uses lots of power. I will be replacing it.
