I have a ?!
I received an email from ebay yesterday with a code/coupon to buy anything at ebay from anyone who accepts paypal and I'd get 8% off. I just found an $85 item so got $6.80 off. I entered in the redemption code on coupon and it took off the amount saved. I printed out that Payment Summary with ebay--plus I got it in an email. Now when I go to paypal, it shows my payment to this person was the entire $85. It has me baffled/confused. Why, in one place, does it show with the amount saved AND, in the other place, the entire amount.
Has anyone ever used this kind of thing before? I haven't ... so I was glad I found something to make an 8% savings worthwhile--instead of just a few cents, this was dollars!
Please, if anyone can help, either post or email me. Thanks!
I will be offline until tonight............my mother is celebrating her 88th birthday this afternoon. She's in a nursing home (care center) (since October) so it's a first-time experience for her kids/grandkids. Should be fun though. 2 dozen sandwiches and 2 cakes/desserts. Sounds good, huh!
Thanks for reading and helping me!

I could be wrong but the seller probably gets the whole $85 payment. Ebay probably pays them the value of the coupon so that is probably why it shows $85. Can you check your bank account or whatever account you paid out of to see how much was actually taken out? 2|1|I figured it out--I got the credit, seller got full amount (I just had to dig deeper at paypal to see the entire transaction)|SandyC|sacoates1@msn.com|16:16:40|02/22/2009|
