I was just wondering what do other people do in this situation When your child is finished with school and not working full time what kind of health insurance do they have? How affordable is it for a young person making a low income to get health insurance? My son is low income, works part time and has a heart/lung condition, they wanted $300 a month to insure him. We applied for a medical card in september and am waiting to hear back from them, so far have been denied the disability medical, but I filled out for workers with diabilty's and another one just medical card, so hoping one will go through for him. So for now he does'nt have medical and I don't either.
