if not paid before feb.27. I used my income tax money for this and other bills. But I am still
short. I don't know what to do. I called several places to try to get help, but know
one helps with pass taxes (2007). They help people with their house payments, rent, gas bills, electric...but
know one can help with taxes. I just cant beleive there is not some program out there that
could help low income families. I do not know what to do...

Life just seems to keep getting harder and harder..

Michelle 1|1|I know what you mean....I just got a $600 bill from the specialist my daughter went to |kellysp6637|frugalk76@aol.com|21:04:16|02/19/2009|

last month.....my health insurance paid the majority of it....but I am responsible for the remaining $600 (I guess I should be thankful that I don't have to pay the $2500) they billed...but still $600 is a pretty big chunk of change... (especially since I pay over $300 a month in insurance premiums)

If it's not one expense it's another.....sometimes I just don't want to open the mail.

Thank god I was able to get medicaid. I got a bill for the hospital part only yesterday it
was $3,000. I hate to see what the doc charged. Thank god I only have to pay $373. Myspend
down amount for medicaid. But with times hard that is still alot. I will have to set up
small monthly payments with the hospital once medicaid pays there part.

I've done it before in the past with large medical bills....so I'll just keep my own records and pay them $50-100 a month until it's paid...there's not a thing they can do about it so long as I'm making consistent and reasonable payments..............

Insurance is getting ridiculous....they charge through the nose for the premiums then pick and choose what they want to cover.... 4|1|Did you contact the taxing agency to see about payment arrangements? Sometimes they will make payment arrangements. I know several people who have done so. They are strict though... they might divide it into 3s or something like that. when Obama made the announcement sabout his plan he said it would be 2 weeks before it was written. so i don't think she can do anything other than pay it now. plus, aren't property taxes a SEPARATE issue? that should, could, would fall under the escrow NOT the actual mortgage.

There is no house on it. It is the land I own hooked on to the house. The house does not sit on it.
So would go back to the county. I do not want to lose it. That is where my daycare kids play in the summer time.

Michelle

You have the right to pay the delinquent taxes, penalties, interest and fees Prior to March 1, 2009 and avoid additional cost and RISK of LOSS of OWNERSHIP.

If paid on or after March 1, 2009
All items in left column plus.
Interest rate increases to 1.5% month
and is retroactive to delinquency date.
a $175 title search fee
Recording and advertising charges...could hurt my business if it went in the paper
additional processing and administration costs

plus the bill goes up $255.73 if paid after 3/1

So I will owe alot more even if I do not lose it. But I do not want to take that chance. 9|4|Michelle did you get my email?|Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|13:38:42|02/20/2009|

Escrow pays my property taxes & homeowner's insurance for the year. Best way to do it as there's no big chunk I have to worry about so all I have to worry about is my monthly mortgage payment.
My property taxes were actually about $100 less for me this year than they had been for the previous owner last year, so that was a nice surprise. :) There's plenty left over yet for my homeowner's insurance & will still be some left after that's paid so it will stay in escrow for next year.....

I know doing these things myself really helps. You have to do a little foot work for it, but figure since I am on line, I might as well use my computer to make some money back. I do all of these for cash or gift cards. they really help me out on making ends meet. Many of us are just hanging on ourselfs, many of us just explore different ways of bringing in cash to keep our heads above water. I know myself if I did'nt think outside the box, I would be in deep water.

It is just so hard trying to keep all the bills paid. I will be so glad when summer gets

on track to then.

Last week I had to use the electric money to take my 10 yr old cat to the vet. I could affaid
to take him..but I cant stand to see him sick. He is on meds but I do not think he is getting
better. Does not seem to be eating. I pray that he gets better. My animals are like my kids.

I have to thank you all for this site thou. If it was not for the coupons I trade for on here

I know you said you tried DHS,

The worst they can say is no.

Do you have anything you could sell quickly on Craigslist
www.craigslist.org. There is one in your area.
You mentioned you have a day care. Are you at capacity?
If not, could you do an ad for a free week after three paid weeks or something creative like that. Anything to get you the money now.
Times are so hard for so many people and a lot of places that offer help are being hit hard.
Time to think outside the box and get creative in your money raising.
p.s...another option to consider for those who have back property taxes. Not sure is this is even possible, but can you pay your "back taxes" first and then worry about the current taxes. This would give you time to catch up on the current taxes and have the back taxes paid. Just a thought.
