Okay,,,since I couldn't stop this dreaded stimulus package...I'm going to make the best of it....I will be using the extra $13 per week to buy I Savings Bonds...every payperiod I have money taken out for bonds...so I just signed up for another bond and will have another $10 taken out per pay period...so that's what I'll be using mine for.
How about everyone else?

they cost face value instead of 50% but they get twice as much interest. and FYI bonds get a much better interest rate than a saving account at your local bank

I live in California... and they just keep jacking up our taxes... We claim Single with 0 exemptions but we still owe hundreds every year... its just a joke... We payed twice as much in state taxes this year (making virtually the same as last year) and we owe more than the year before... so I am going to have additional withheld from each of my checks...
Sometimes I hate this state... and with their new budget plan we are going to be owing ever more! They want to raise our sales tax and add .12 to each gallon of gas... 'cause its not expensive enough already... yup thats gonna help people out and make us want to spend more money to stimulate the economy... stupid politicians...

taking our money, spend, spend, spend - we're enslaved as long as we're paying taxes and will get worse. This Socialism crap does not work! They are destroying the middle class, small businesses - the backbone of our country. So, the more they take, the lower our standard of living. We have gotten rid of 3 cars, paid off all debts and now our most major expense are property taxes!!
