I think the thermostat is sticking, or at least I hope that's all it is, cuz it's alot cheaper & easier to fix. LOL It's been running hot, mostly when I'm driving it but doesn't seem to be do it tho if it's just sitting & idling. I think the coolant may also be leaking somewhere but can't remember if that can happen w/a sticky thermostat or not.
Anyway.... I'm glad I can get it in so soon to get it fixed but I'll be going a little crazy w/out any vehicle. :-p I'm sure I'll have it back w/in a few hours, at least by the end of the day, but knowing I'll be stuck here til it's ready is the hard part. LOL Funny how much peace of mind it gives me just knowing it's in my garage, yet when it needs some repairs & it's NOT there, I go a little crazy. LOL

They didn't fix it cuz it would cost me more than what I even paid for the car (labor is the biggest killer) so I'm just going to get a different vehicle. The timing gears are bad for one thing, & then too, one of the heads are bad so it's not only leaking coolant & running hot but also leaking oil. The engine is about worn out which isn't surprising w/all the miles on it. I'd been thinking about getting a different vehicle for awhile anyway cuz I do all the driving for my mom & her knees aren't in the greatest shape so was thinking along the lines of a van. Vans are a little higher so easier for my mom to get in & out & not so hard on her knees. I have a cousin who is a mechanic & has connections so he's going to do some checking around for me & lmk in a couple of days. Hopefully he'll find me a good one before my car decides it has had enough. LOL
