I have a ton of oatmeal and Christmas M&Ms that I am going to make cookies out of. Can I preform balls of dough and freeze? I know I can freeze baked cookies w/ great luck but I don't want to risk breaking them as sometimes happens in our freezer, plus my kids like baking cookies.

Thanks for your suggestions!
Stacey 1|1|Sure you can :) Just drop them on the cookie sheets as you would normally to bake them.....freeze them on the sheets, then put them in air tight containers or freezer bags...you can take out what you want to bake and bake them according to the directions after letting them thaw for a few mins....I've done this with oatmeal, choc chip, peanut butter, and sugar cookie dough :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:18:57|02/09/2009|

The weather is once again supposed to get cold, so they would no doubt stay frozen while in transit!
