They raised their prices here to $2.99 for ONE DAY rental, and $5.99 for 5 days. With Redbox, Netflix, etc out there, how do they think those prices are competitive??? Ridiculous if you ask me, which is why we LOVE Netflix!!!!!

4|3|I don't rent at the store( only when we have a freebie coming) we belong to their online site which|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|10:37:20|02/09/2009|
we are quite happy with for the amount we rent The boys would miss it very much as they rent games every week 5|4|If BB goes under, try Gamefly instead|sheliar|sandk95@embarqmail.com|10:43:45|02/09/2009|
One of the few advantages of BB would be that they rent movies and games. However, there are other options if BB goes under--Gamefly is just like Netflix except it's for games. With the way BB has been lately, I wouldn't give them my business in any form. Here, they changed pricing in July, then again in Sept of 08 (we were told we were a test market). This is a relatively small area, with low average incomes, and they think that people can afford that? You'd be better off BUYING the movie rather than renting it!

2|1|Businesses seem to be closing & laying off left & right around here. :(|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|09:59:20|02/09/2009|
Some small, some large & some that have been the livelihood for families & towns for decades. :(
Box Office Video closed a couple of months ago, Gen. Motors Corp. plans to close their doors, NCR is closing next month, Family Dollar is closing the end of this month, Ace Hardware is closing several stores if no buy-out, Target is closing & Trane Co. is laying off a slew of employees. Businesses like Gen. Motors, NCR & Trane Co. have been around for at least 30+ years & provided income stability for generations of families.
It's not going good! :(

They are getting ready to take over some of the Delphi plants.. doesn't sound like closing at all. I do know they are doing buy outs for some of the older employees though anyone is welcome to take the option.

They plan on possibly closing completely around the end of 2009/2010. They've already ceased production of SUV's, etc. w/sections of the plant closing & laying off oodles of employees.
Hope that helps clarify what I meant. ;)
