Some of you are aware of what a rough past year we've had. Today was a really special day for our family. Matt had a quality control audit at work. They checked nine of his jobs and all were given a gold flag signifying above par. We also received our state tax refund today. As a family we are healing from our collective wounds and were in a mood to celebrate. We decided to go out to eat at a sit down restaurant something we do infrequently with all our munchkins due to cost. We had a b1g1f entree for TGIfridays but there was over an hour wait. So we drove around trying to decide where to go and ended up at Olive Garden. After about twenty minutes we were seated at two tables in the way back next to a table with an executive looking woman and a gentleman. They watched us often while we dined and as we were preparing to leave they started talking to us. They asked the usual, kid's ages, are they all ours, names, etc. . Then the lady, Marybeth, asked if she could buy all the kids ice cream for dessert and me tiramisu (YUMMMMY). As a group we hear a lot of snide comments and this lady was genuinely tickled with our family. She talked to all the kids asking them about themselves and their interests. I am just so overwhelmed at a stranger's kindness.

That's so lovely, it's nice to know that there are still people in our society who will do a kind deed for a stranger.
