Sorry I haven't been online, I tried to get on the other day and did one post and felt so sick, that I went offline. This cold/flu is sure kicking my butt this time around, I have been so miserable, hopefully it will clear out within a few days. Last night I was up almost all night, I couldn't breathe cause I was so stuffed up and also kept coughing. Anyways I hope all of you are doing well. Hugs, Rebekka

I sure hope you feel better soon! :) Do you have a warm mist vaporizer you can use? It might help alleviate some of the stuffiness & cough. I prefer the warm mist ones to the cool mist cuz the cool mist ones seemed to only make it colder in the house & I certainly don't want that in winter. I didn't think the cooler one helped much either. I bought a new warm mist one a few days ago since my other one went kahooey. :-p The humidity level was so low in here that I'd be snapping the poor dog everytime I pet her. LOL I wanted a vaporizer cuz it works like a small humidifier yet I have it handy if we ever need it for a cold/cough too w/the medicine cup. ;) I finally got the humidity up to 46% now so it's getting better w/less snaps plus we're not waking up w/such dry throats/noses.

Thank you so much girlie. I will have to check out the vaporizers and see what I can find. Can you tell me what brand you got? Maybe I can find the same one. I'm just so tired of being sick, Cheyenne and Will are both feeling alot better, usually when I get it, it stays with me for days on end and I always get the brunt of it and it sucks...Hugs, Rebekka

It was the cheapest vaporizer ($13) I could find but for the price, it does double duty as a vaporizer, if needed, & a humidifier. :) All the other ones were about $20+ but I didn't care about the fancy schmancy stuff. LOL Just make sure to use a little bleach water to clean out the water container part (NOT the steamer part) every so often (once a month or so, perhaps, & before using again after it's been in non-use/stored for awhile), to kill any possible development of mold/mildew.
Humidity is a good thing when a cold has you stuffed up &/or coughing as you want to keep your nose & throat moist. Plenty of liquids, sleep, eating right & Vit. C also help. You can also try Echinacea (or like was mentioned in one of the other posts, Zinc, as it too will help increase your immune health & decrease the symptoms & duration of a cold/cough). I buy our chewable Vit. C tablets at the Dollar Store as it's cheaper there. LOL
