For instance if I traded some mcd's booklets and they never arrived but I have post office proof of mailing what should be done?
split the difference for the trade (small, for 4 booklets)

I mailed out over 100 books and got only this complaint too.

The batch I mailed today I insured, because it was to one person I did not know, one person who made a huge order and one person whose envelope
looked a lttle shaky lol, but this cost me money but saved me peace of mind, kwim.

In instances where things are actually paid for should insurance be a given, with the purchaser to pay? (They told me you can't put delivery confirmation on a letter so insurance was the way to go but the minimum cost is 1.70 in addition to postage).

Wondering how to manage this, not wanting to cheat anyone but also don't want to end up with trades costing me money, kwim? 1|1|MINE SHOWED UP!!!|DAISY|mtmbcjab@yahoo.com|20:23:52|01/29/2009|

I usually tape them and there was no mention of a post office envelope in the matter but I can't say it didn't happen kwim? 4|3|Wouldnt the envie arrive in a 'body bag' then? Unless the envie wasnt ripped in a way that was obvious....I've gotten envies with small tears on the seams but werent obvious until I open the envie myself...but if the tear/damage was big enough for the coupon booklet to fall out, I'd think it would be bagged by the PO.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:02:22|01/29/2009|

If the tear in the envelope was severe & big enough for a whole coupon booklet to have "escaped" thru it, it should've been in a PO's body bag. A small tear I can relate to cuz I get envies w/those all the time which are maybe big enough for a pinky to fit thru, but certainly not large enough for a whole coupon booklet to "slip" thru. ;) And once you've mailed out a trade, you have NO control over what happens to it. Good thing you have proof it was scanned for weight & postage at the PO. Seems this is something we're all going to have to start doing....

Happy New Year!

we have different mailmen every day I think, and that can make a difference.
I just got something from NC in a day, while other mail (not trades) have taken 2 weeks from here in town!
Hope you get it resolved amicably, I hate that this happened to you
