Wow---I am still blown away by all the attention I got yesterday. Had lots of my RS buddies write to me on Facebook---thank you all SOOO much! I loved reading all the wonderful birthday wishes!
Ron & I had a lovely dinner out, just the two of us, at Lonestar steak house. I think you will all be so proud of me...I really wanted to bring up our relationship and talk about the past day and kinda where things stood---but I did not! I didn't bring any of that up, kept things light, though more than a bit awkward at times.
I came up to him after we got home, and looked him straight in the eye and thanked him for EVERYTHING yesterday..told him that from start to finish it was THE best birthday I've had in years. Told him I appreciated and loved all the gifts, the flowers, the breakfast out, dinner out. Then hugged and kissed him.
This morning I asked him where his wedding ring is, since he hasn't been wearing it....he said, it's in the bedroom, and said that he "needed to put it back on". Oh, also...in my b-day card, he wrote something very sweet:
said that he hoped we had many more birthdays to share and that he hoped we could work through this 'difficult time in our lives", and that we both had so much more to learn about each other.
I thought he was really trying...for the FIRST time I can honestly say I see the effort....and it did not go unnoticed, as you can tell by this post. I just hope we can muddle our way through all this, as he says....and hope it's the beginning of better times to come!

I know I haven't been around for a very long time, and I certainly missed a lot that's been going on in everyone's lives. I'm sorry for that. I have read your last several posts, so I was able to play "Catch-up" just a little bit. I am so very happy that your birthday was very special and very memorable! Happy Belated Birthday!!
