Hallie is supposed to take 100 of something to school on monday to celebrate the 100 days of school- it can be anything, creativity is a plus, she can also dress up... The only idea I have so far is 100 miniature chocolate chip cookies? Whew, wears me out thinking about it! Any ideas?

Thanks!
Jessica

Time consuming though, they took a big roll of paper, like a doctors office table cover or a roll of packaging paper and she did 100 footsteps, she dipped her foot each time in paint and stepped. Otherwise they did typical stuff like pennies, hair bows jellybeans.

Have the students break into groups and put together 100 piece puzzles, you can use some of them as prizes and donate the rest to the nursing home, shelter etc..

Put together a list of 100 things in which we are thankful for. The word "things" does not really mean material items.

See what you can make with 100 legos.

Make a lei necklace using any kind of cereal with holes (Cheerios, Fruit Loops, etc.).
Take a piece of yarn (or use red rope licorice) and tightly wrap a piece of masking tape at one end (this aids in threading the cereal).
Thread 10 pieces of cereal on the yarn, then add a short piece of straw, add ten more pieces of cereal, then straw, etc. until you have 100 pieces of cereal on your neclace. You're teaching place value: 10 tens make 100!
Wear your lei to lunch, then eat your lei at lunch if you want!

i remember having to do this with my son when he was in elementary school and these are some of the things that i have sent with him and i totally agree with projects the kids get at school are more for the parents then the kids especially when they are younger. i remember my son getting an indian project one time and he had to build a long house out of tooth picks well he had to use a hot glue gun so that meant i did most of that project sometimes i think the teachers are testing the parents instead of the kids. I work at a school and I see this alot with the projects that come in you can tell which ones have had lots of parent help and ones that have had to try and do it on there own and ones that have really put alot of money into theres and ones that didnt put much money and now a days who has lots of money to put into a school project. I remember once my son had to make a hanger person and we spent soo much money on getting felt and all the items we needed to make this famous football player it turned out really good but what happens to the kids that dont have the money to spend.

anyways let us know what you decide to send it.

I put glue all over the fat numbers
and we just stuck 100 buttons all over it, it took a day to dry
put it in a plastic bag and took it to school,
oh yeah, over the day I noticed some of the heavier buttons got loose so we had to put more glue and stick them back on so use light buttons if you do this
ROFL

It looked really pretty! took 5 minutes plus checking and re glueing, another 2 minutes?
what a riot
