..cleaning bathrooms for me?! Cause I am feeling under the weather today (think I'm fighting a cold or sinus infection!!), and cause it's my b-day, he dragged out all the cleaning products and is going to town right now!!
Ok....this is the man who hasn't lifted a finger in 7 mo's. around here to do ANY cleaning, vacuuming, etc., other than occasional dishes and he DOES make me breakfast every weekend, either Sat. or Sunday. So, yeah, he's a 'keeper" imo...which is why I married him in the first place.

my dh rarely ever does anyhting special for me he does help clean watch the kids etc he just isnt a romantic guy maybe ur dh really loves you and is trying to show u so be nice lol

tell him you see and appreciate what he is doing. When my DH does HH stuff, I act like it is the greatest thing since ice cream and he eats it up (and still does HH stuff)

My dh is a lot of things, but a cleaner is not one of them. On the rare occasion that he pitches in, I just rave about him. So, I agree... be sure to tell him how much it means to you.
I sure hope that you can work things out Shelly and that he will learn to appreciate you. He's a fool if he doesn't!

I was just trying to nap, 'cause like I said, I don't feel too great today. well, the dog was going nuts and I came out to see if someone was here @ the door, saw a van in the driveway and said to DH, is someone here??
He comes around the corner with a bouquet of flowers that he'd had delivered!?!? In three yrs., he has only gotten me fresh flowers 2x and NEVER had them delivered (he is very frugal, which I think is great)! SOOOOO I was absolutely surprised to see 1/2 doz. red roses!!
And yes, I've thanked him and hugged & kissed him for the flowers, told him they were beautiful and that I loved them! I thanked him for cleaning the bathrooms (he is a cleaner, or used to be, when we lived @ his old house, he used to be so great around the house---just hasn't since we moved HERE) as well. So, you see, I always let him know that I notice when he does special things for me~~!
He said that he actually ordered those roses a while back, and had at the time he didn't think he'd have the day off work, so wanted me to receive them personally.
Anyway, after breakfast, we were walking out to the car, and he put his arm around me REALLY tight and drew me close and said that I was being soooo sweet today (LOL!!!) and I said, "really?, I am??".....seriously, i didn't think I was being much different than my usual self, especially since i'm feeling under the weather today. But, he then kissed me outside of the restaurant.
I seriously don't know WHAT to make of all this?! Maybe you guys are right...between last night, maybe he took note of how I interacted w/his kids (not that I was really any different/or sweeter/nicer to them than I normally am (?!), and my attitude today, and something's changed. I am unsure whether or not it's just temporary, but perhaps that is my lack of trust showing. I just know that deep down it would be a lot of work & effort, and $$ for him to move and I wonder if his intentions are pure. I know....I can hear some of you shouting, "stop that!! just enjoy it, and trust and believe", etc.!!! Lol
I plan to continue having a good day & evening....I'm just glad i've been pleasantly surprised today.

I've been following your posts, Shelly, and am glad about this new development. Please continue to enjoy this 'change of heart' and don't bring up the past. Don't think about whether his 'motives are pure'. Just try to treat each other with respect and honesty and see where it leads. It sounds like he really doesn't want to give up.
