Not only are more people losing or at risk of losing their jobs w/all these closings & lay-offs, I got to thinking about how it's going to affect the market of competition between businesses. W/less competition, prices are likely to increase even more. W/people losing jobs & everyone having to tighten our belts, we're certainly not going to be able to afford any more higher prices. :( Prices in the stores have NOT been decreasing despite lowered gas prices - if anything, it's continuing to increase! The cost of fresh fruit has gotten to be ridiculous around here & the thing is, a person's income isn't increasing at a rate enough to keep up. :(
