I have a delivery coming on Friday. (according to tracking number) I am going to have to sign for the item. I will not be at home for the delivery. Can I leave a note with my signature saying it is okay to leave it? I write the tracking number and who it is comming from and sign it with my name and address and instructions on what to do with the pkg. (leave it on the porch, the back porch, the neighbors house, etc.) they will leave it for me. They take the note and enter it later in the office as pkg signed for.
Now this might be only because I get many pkgs for work weekly and know my driver pretty well.

Back in November she bought herself a very expensive camera off the internet. SHe knew she was supposed to be home to sign for it. About the time she thought they might arrive she left work under the guise off going to let the dog out. She stayed home about ten minutes wasting her lunch time hoping he'd come. No such luck. So she heads back to work and sees a UPS guy at a red light on her way. She stops her cars and flags him down. Can you imagine his face ROFL. She asked if he had a package for her as she lives in a fairly rural area. He verified her addy and name and looked and said he did. Sitting on the side of the road he went got her package then had her sign for it. I laughed and said only my momma would chase down the UPS guy on the road!

I've chased the UPS and Fedex driver both down to get my pkgs so I wouldn't have to drive all the bloody way across town on another day to pick them up at the hub. Now I just leave my notes on the door and haven't had to chase them down since.
