Just posting an update while I have the energy.
I'm having several of the side effects from the chemo- mouth sores, constipation, nausous and queasy, other things that are not for public boards. I;m extremely fatigued. I've managed to keep myself awake though til around 10 pm and then hit the sack and back up at 4 am I am. The morning meds for nausea are supposed to be some sort pick me upper but they are not having that affect on me.
I had a nuelasta shot 24 hours later and having what feels like labor pains. all through my back, hips and upper legs.
We shaved my hair the night of chemo. I've got maybe 1/8 inch of stubble on my head. I cried and cried, I could not help it.
I look and feel like crap but I'm alive and that's the way I plan to keep it. I'll take all these side effects (maybe not quietly) at a chance for a longer life with my daughters and my husband.
I need to see if anyone on here has any of the following items cheap.
clariton regular
benadryl caplets
benadryl liquid
stool softeners or exlax
immodium ad
purell hand sanitizer
lysol wipes,
cottonelle or some other kind of wipes for my tushy
tissues with lotion
air fresheners.
soft toothbrushes
floss no mint flavors
and toothpaste with no mint flavors
udderly smooth with urea for the skin
saltine crackers individually wrapped if possible
boxed chicken noodle soups
suckers
lemon candy
makeup items like foundation, powder, blush, eyeshadow, eye liner, possibly even some fake lashes and a stencil to draw on eyebrows when I lose those. If you are cheap enough and have enough I would like to get 10 sets of the above makeup items, as there are 9 other ladies doing chemo during the same time I do. I'd like to give them a little picker upper.
and quick dry nail polish. prefer darker colors due to the nail discolorations they say will be happening.
also anyone make head coverings that tie in the back and hang down giving the illusion of hair?
also looking for coupons for vitaminwater that is good on the lemon or orange kind, or capri sun for the orange kind in the morning.
anyone, hopping off here and going to try and lay down for a bit before taking more nausea meds.

i'm exhausted, chemo's really taking all my energy today. i don't like that nuelasta shot either, if i want those labor like pains i kinda want to have another child to hold lol
oncologist gave me emend, dexamethsone, and lorazipan for the nasuea/vomitting today is last day for taking the emend and dex. she said they would be my legal uppers and downers lol. so far no ups but medications never have the norm effect on me so I shouldve known it would be all down.
I've been eating a yogurt a day, and light things like a piece of toast. hubby made me a steak yesterday and it took all i had to eat it. but those grilled seasoned potatoes on my plate flew off it fast lol steroids are making me crave potatoes so my behind will be big like my muffin top at my jeans waistband lol
there are more things i need i just cant think of them right now. everything has been a mess since my diagnosis. we'll be 3 months behind on house payment on may 1 and we've already received intent to foreclose multiple times. when the economy went south last year we got behind and was never able to catch up. the car is will follow at same 3 months late on the 16th. we pay shut off notices as they come in. everything has just been a mess. it took 2 months to qualify for medicaid and when i did, i got it for 2 months and received a letter yesterday mail that we are losing it based on income. the annual income exceeds the federal poverty level by a little of 300.
i try not to think so much about anything i can only concentrate on one thing at a time it seems so i just keep tellin myself just another bump in the road. but just have a hard time some days ya know.
i have a box full of junk to list to raise a bit of funds to pay for the items i need just waiting for the energy

i do have 2 girls age 18 and 12 both still at home, both having a hard time. its hard enough as an adult to try and deal with cancer. i worry more for them than i do myself. my husband is great but its taking a toll on him as well. i dont come from a big family just a brother and a sister.i see sis once a week and it took her 4 months to come to see me after my double mastectomy. she just doesnt know how to deal with it. my brother doesnt live near me and my best friend lives in florida. no other friends here. we live in the country so neighbors are far between.
i just have to keep telling myself, these are all just bumps in the road.it'll get better, it has to, right?

We already applied for the presidents thing with homes and foreclosure and was told, sorry you dont have good credit we cant help you now. Isn't that a crock? if I had good credit and hadnt gotten behind I wouldnt need there help now would i?

I have an appointment on the 14th at 3 pm with the job and family services. i am applying for foodstamps. i also filled out the paper to appeal for the medicaid. they are basing their determination of the medicaid on the 2008 schedule c taxes which is a little over 300 dollars over federal poverty limit. we dont even have that income now, we've lost income of due to hubby taking minimum of 1 day off a week to take me back and forth to the doctors at osu and cancer clinic, and now with chemo and the 24 hour later check of my white blood count and nuelasta shot it ends up being 2 days. we can't pay our bills and it doesnt seem fair that the state agency can base our eligibility of what he made last year when this year is far worse than it ever has been for ALMOST ALL AMERICANS! including us.
Today is the first day, I actually got out of bed. I cannot believe how fatigued and sick I am. The labor like pains are as bad as the nausea but the heating pad is helping. I even slapped on all the thermacare pads I had in varying sizes to the inside of my clothing the other night and I thought too bad they don't make some sort of body glove lol. looks like mrs michelan with my belly rolls and buzz cut and extra padding but I really didnt care. we've been trying to find those face masks the sm n95 because of the swine flu pandemic and my compromised immune system due to chemo but have not had any luck. I really try to stay positive and give myself pep talks all the time. I know attitude is everything, and I usually try and find the good and I always believed laughter was the best medicine of all but damn I'm having a hard time. I really miss my mama.I feel like such a baby and a weakling. I hate that I am whining even now. I'm shutting up now because these thoughts are making it worse.
I wanted to thank everyone again. Your prayers and words of encouragement are appreciated more than I can ever express. I want to thank those of you who are also doing an angel auction for me. Those who are hosting, adding, bidding, everyone. I have a miscellaneous stuff I would like to add, will have to see if hubby can get me a few stamps on payday. The kindness of my fellow traders is overwhelming and I can only hope that one day, I can repay each of you. Thank you, everyone. Please keep praying for us. I am going to try to get online each day, although its harder than I thought it would be, I am going to try.

I had chemo again on Thursday-adriamycin/cytoxin. Followed by the nuelasta shot on Friday. Although I still have some bone pain, nothing compared to what I had before the heating pad so than you again Joy. I also wanted to thank Kathryn, for the box of goodies you sent me.With the throat and mouth sores I have this go around, I can barely eat anything. The soup was awesome, thank you! Thank you for everything you sent, it is much appreciated.
I am sorry I missed the angel auction, and was very surprised when I opened my email today to find paypal payments. Thank you everyone who ran the auction, added to it, bid on it, and helped out out of the goodness of your hearts. I don't know how to thank you, your kindness is amazing. You are all truly angels. I now have almost enough to pay my shut off on my electric bill.Thank you so much!
I havent had any luck with the house as of yet, but do have a phone appointment with consumer credit counseling this week. Banc of America has been no help at all and the only answer I ever get from them is sorry we cannot help.
Gotta take a break will update again soon. Gotta lay down now.

I just got out of the hospital on Thursday May 21. The week before on Wednesday 13th, I was having pains up and down my back but attributed them to the pain from the Nuelasta shot I had on May 8 (second a/c chemo was the 7th). By Thursday the pain in my upper back going down both sides of me to my lower back was horrendouss and I had to call 911. I could not even breath on my own.
Turns out I have pnuemonia in both lungs as well as a puliminary embolism (blood clot) in my right lung. THe blood blot in the right lung is so large it is blocking off any circulation getting to the bottom half of the lung which is killing the tissue. In 3 weeks I have to do another cat scan to see how bad the dead lung is so they can cut it out.
I'm on coumadin indefinitely and lovenox shots for the next 3 days.
I still have 2 more a/c chemo to go and 12 taxol. I still cant take a breathe without sharp pains in the right lung so I don't see how I can continue but my oncologogist wants me to resume them asap.
