......I just woke this morning to read a HORRIBLE email from some relatives. Difficult to explain how we are related, but they are my (deceased) step-sister's (grown) children.
One of the boys, Mark butterfield (couldn't have been more than 50, if that), took his own life yesterday. He attached a garden hose to the exhaust pipe of his car. This man had been having issues w/drinking, I believe, and was homeless for some years, in his life. I only recently reconnected with the family through Facebook. The one sister and one brother are coming through Indiana in early Feb., as I mentioned yesterday, we are planning to meet up and visit.
I'm just heartbroken for them ALL. We've known each other's families since we were very young children (like I said, long-weird story) and these guys are like my own siblings, that is how hard I'm taking this!!!!
Brook (the son who emailed me) said 'he's in a better place now" and that "life is precious"......oh, how very, very true.
Go hug your children, your spouse, your relatives the next chance you get. I can't stop crying. They all live in Calif., so not possible for me to fly out to attend the service or anything. I'm working today on sending some flowers, but right now I don't even have an address to send to.
please pray for this family.....the Butterfield/beahm's. They lost their mother (my step-sister) MUCH too young, to Ovarian cancer when she was only in her 40's. Now another one's gone much, much too soon....

...it's been a rough day---i just finished up ordering an arrangement to be delivered tomorrow. it was difficult as Anita only emailed me her addy and not her ph. # and then the florist refused to deliver without a number, so had to call her business and beg~
Got it, though, and glad something will arrive tomorrow afternoon. Service in the evening at anita's home.
