There was recently a discussion on this board on HE washing machines. Someone suggested a Degunking product, which I am certain we need for our HE. So, when hubby went to Home Depot recently, I told him someone on the board found some Degunking stuff either there or Lowes for their HE washing machine- and to pick some up. Well, he did not listen of course, and instead brought home some degunking stuff for our dishwasher (and I have seen this at Walmart too). So anyone who has hardwater, I do suggest this dishwasher magic. Ours was really gross w/ mineral deposits and after using it, the shiny stainless inside is looking just like new again.

Still have to find the washing machine kind but wanted to share on the dishwasher one in case someone needed it for their dishwasher.

Stacey =) 1|1|I've heard good things about the Dishwasher Magic too....only had mine about 4 months or so, but I have it in mind to use when it starts to look dingy in there. :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|10:00:20|01/13/2009|

Very hard water here and my dishwasher insides were awful and coated with "lime" - so got a bottle of this stuff at WalMart and it worked like MAGIC - will buy again when I need to do it again. Seems like there was a $1 c/o out at the time - but I have not seen it anywhere else but WalMart - can't remember exactly - but it was around $3 or $4.

I have used and liked the orange blossom gel pacs from Electrosol..was told by the repair people that that was the reason our dishwasher never got gunked up or got all nasty from our hard water. We recently got water softener but used our reg hard water for years. They said that the citrus in the packs is what keeps it cleaned out and never nasty. well..that is a bonus then..cleans dishes AND the machine each time you use it! lol

PS..the repair people we working on it as it had problems mechanically from the day we bought it just in case anyone was wondering on that point! lol 4|1|LemiShine also works great for our hard water problems...WalMart has it..|emerald9|brandaseider@yahoo.com|12:10:46|01/13/2009|

lemon juice in it every few cycles that would keep it clean again since the citrus is what is doing that etc. Notice the brand name cleaners mentioned have "citri" in most of them and probably in the ingred. list in all of them if we read it...just a thought.. 7|4|Skaytes, thats a great idea! I will have to try that after I get it cleaned with the cleaner..I tried vineger before and that did'nt do nothin.|HONEY11|HONEY1@AMERITECH.NET|18:13:38|01/13/2009|
