I'm sorry to post something so "personal", but i need some opinions. i don't get to see my GYN until Jan 15th and I've written all this down so I can address these issues at that time. In the meanwhile, thought I'd ask if others here suffer like this, have been diagnosed w/fibroids and/or Ovarian cysts and if one or both of those could be causing some of my problems??!

I went only 10 days between last mo's. cycle and this month, apparently!? That's VERY irregular for me. It's been really bad this time!! I was up all night last night, every 2 hrs., at MOST----changing my pad, and even soaked through one pr. of pajamas! Ugh. I'm wearing the Infinity, overnighters...which *had* been working very well for me---I've read reports of other women not liking them but for me, they absorb MUCH better than anything i've used in the past. However, this mo. they aren't even doing the trick!! This heavy, heavy flow has lasted 2 straight days *so far*.....I'm afraid to go anywhere, 'cause I can feel the "gushing", it's SOOO embarrasing!

I've had horrible cramps and the Midol isn't helping, which it usually does!? I'm absolutely exhausted this morning! i just took a shower and I'm going to go back to bed in a short while.

At this rate, I'm going to run out of pads TODAY 'cause I don't have a stockpile anymore. Ugh....I hate even the thought of going out to the store in this condition. Do you think this is from the fibroids or cysts?? Or is this something else going on??

Can anyone enlighten me? I DO know I'm going to be pressing my dr. to do *something*, I'm going to be 51 on Jan. 23rd and it's pretty obvious I'm going to be having my period for some time to come. I've yet to skip one month. I know I'm in perimenopause, but you have to go a whole yr. without a period to be considered menopause...seems like I've a looonnng way to go.

things u are talking about when i had ovarian cysts
this was 18 years ago and i had the heavy periods and such heavy cramping i couldn't take it any more
so i had 1 ovary removed with this cysts ( it was size of orange they said) and this would help me for awhile --it did
but was only 1 1/2 years later then i went in for the full hystermacty(sp) actaully was the best thing i ever did should of done it sooner
since i was done having family anyway i was only 37 at the time
hope this info helps vickie
2|2|Yeah, with fibroids it can do that. It's like having extra surface area in there that can bleed, you know? Sorry you feel so rotten. Keep an eye on your iron.|Sara_s_Mom|IClipCoupons@gmail.com|08:42:54|01/09/2009|

bc if you are losing that much blood, you are almost certainly low on iron. Hubby gets low on iron for other reasons obviously (LOL) but he feels really bad- tired, no energy, etc and once he starts on the iron pills he feels alot better.

my sis had ovarian cysts and she had the major bleeding. but hers was horrible horrible pains (cramps) that led her to see a Dr. Her daughter had a cyst burst a year or so ago and the pain was so horrible she passed out. So they are no joke, and if you cannot stand it, I would call your doctor and make them fit you in before the 15th. If they refuse, then call another office- even a regular family doctor- and make them treat you.

Good luck!
Sending you a hug!

causing a heavier flow, also if you are having a lot of clotting, that causes a lot of pain.

I'M TOO GOOD LOOKING TO BE THIS OLD...AT MY AGE I'VE SEEN IT ALL, I'VE HEARD IT ALL, AND I'VE DONE IT ALL..I JUST CAN'T REMEMBER IT ALL!!!!!!!! 9|2|That's what I was told about my symptoms from my GYN...I was about 35 at the time (premenopause), but they did find a small fibroid then too....could have been a combination of the two, but here it is about 6 yrs later and I still have those same symptoms, no worse but no better...so I tend to think it's premenopause in my case.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:34:16|01/09/2009|

If you're not already you may becoming anemic. I did and was told to go on iron pills (over the counter). Anemia is nothing to fool aroudn with. It can cause other health issues. I would see the doctor as soon as you can, or at least call and ask if they would reccommend iron pills.
I feel for you, I went through all this and did end up with anemia. Had a total hysterectomy last July and it's the best thing that ever happened to me. Only wish I'd have done it sooner.
And whoever said fibroids probably hit it on the head, but you want to be sure. See your doctor as soon as possible.
