After my stay last month I recieved the statement from insurance that they paid what was billed to them then I get a bill from the hospital but it was mor ethan what was on the bill insurance had so insurance is looking into it if it is true I owe $4000 to them Then yesterday ( New Year) while at the gyn they wanted money up front for his part of surgery tomorow I scraped together $100 for them Then today the hospiatl calls and says they are putting aside $1800 towards my deductable ( $2500) and she says so we need to make payment arrangement I asked her if she was going to ask for money upfront she said yes I told her she wasn't going to get it as I am now broke So she says let me look and then says she will put it in there that we'll make arrangements after we get the bill
Yesterday while at the gyn I heard them on the phone with a patient who cancelled her surgery because she didn't have her $500 deductable Are they allowed to turn you away if you can't pay upfront? uggggg

the breakdown from insurance) then I paid that $100 to the gyn ( only owe $2400 now) and then the hospital wants to claim $18000 of the deductable when there are that many so close together I think they need to wait till insurance breaks it down for them I'd rather keep my money till I know how much and to who to send it rhather than paying everyone and them owing me lol
