This will probably sound crazy to some of you! To begin with, I am one of those people who grew up as a child deathly afraid to try new things, all through my adulthood, I'm still the same way, if I find something I like I stick to it. Well, I have had this terrible head cold for the last few days and yesterday and today I am just draining, draining and draining. I drove the girls at work crazy today with all my blowing and sneezing. Anyways, I love sweet tea, but I have never ventured into the "hot tea" because I was afraid to try something new and didn't think I'd like it, well my boss is a hot tea addict and showed me her stash of tea that she has- some brand that she gets at Starbucks I think-Tazo?- in several varieties and then just the plain ol Lipton green tea with ginseng and lemon I believe. Well, I went with the Lipton first and Man oh Man, since I've got a sweet tooth, I added some splenda to it, and it was soooooo good! I was able to make 3 cups out of 1 bag. I can't wait to try the other one tomorrow, I think it has some sort of mint in it and lemongrass maybe? Anyways, the roof of my mouth is a little tender tonight probably from all the hot drinking I did today! Nothing seems to help except hot water on my face, and I just found some old actifed that I'm hoping will kick in. I took Tylenol Sinus this morning and that didn't do anything. Just thought I'd share, I was so proud of myself for trying something new! (And yes, Hallie is the same way, she's 8 years old and doesn't drink anything except water, chocolate milk, apple juice and an occasional fruit punch Caprisun- she will just about have an anxiety attack if we try to get her to eat any vegetable besides potatoes and corn!)

Thanks!
Jessica
Happy New Year!
