I have a LOT to do for the estate, and am an only child. I have come to the acceptance phase (I think), and am mostly making phone calls and writing letters this week. I have taken an hour out to do a few rebates and clip some coupons, and things are getting back on a more normal schedule now that the kids are back home. One lesson I've learned from this whole experience--put everything you have in one place! We are still looking for papers in my mom's house! I know we will eventually find it all, but it wastes so much time not to have things where they are easily found!
I will probably be back more regularly later in the week as I get a little more time here and there. Thank you all for your prayers and concern. It has meant a lot to me.

23|2|It'll get easier. Once you get the estate opened, you can start sending out inquiry letters to any banks, financial institutions, etc. that you think she may have had money at. It can take months, literally, to find everything and with the net and e-statements, it can be a lot harder to find them all. Good luck, Sheila.
