3 0|0|Anyone else's stores have SELF SCANNERS, not self check outs, but a hand held device, made to for the customer, to walk around with, so they can scan there own grocery items, and bad as they go. Wondering if this is the trend, around the country. Donna|dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|20:08:08|01/04/2009|

"Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy." 2|2|In my store, you have to sign in, with your card to get a scanner. You also have to accept the terms including random, carriage audits. I only did this once, but was wondering the same thing. Seems to me, that if a person was not honest it would be very easy. I haven't seen anyone get there carriage audited yet. My thoughts were also with employee's, wondering if it is taking away jobs. That is one reason, I am not so sure I support it. Thanks for looking, Donna 3|3|Ah, good point...less cashiers would be needed, people would just bring their scanner to the cashier and check out with that, no need to scan items and have lines back up. There must be a chip in the items that gets deactivated when it scans? Kinda like when you buy something expensive at WM and they wave it over that gray pad thing by the produce scale on the belt...|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:16:16|01/04/2009|
