My GF loves the bag I made her. Now I am making a rug. Just wondered if anyone else was doing anything as well...

1|1|I gave up for now....it was killing my wrists crocheting the plastic for some reason, made my carpel tunnel act up terribly. I think I'll give it another shot when I get a different crochet hook...the largest one I had is plastic, I think it might go better with a metal one.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|23:13:16|01/01/2009|

just a half dbl stitch, 10 rows white, 4 rows yellow-ish, etc

I'd love some other ideas though. When I google it, I get ideas but no patterns and I didnt keep all my old crochet books. You have to find patterns that use the large size hooks.

4|3|I wonder if you could do a round one? Start with a chain, then do the circles, adding a few stitches as you make another round.....kinda like the old rag rugs?|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|10:04:50|01/02/2009|

9|4|i use the plastic p hook for my rag rugs made in the similar fashion just crocheted fabric|brianna|mooooshine@sosbbs.com|18:44:57|01/02/2009|

I do not follow a pattern just go with the fabric

If using fabric it is best to stay with one type all denim all polyester all tshirt and so on that way it doesnt get lumpy
i have been making these since my college days
it is a great way to use old clothes and sheets that are to worn to donate to local clothing centers

good luck

oh i also make grocery sacks with a rag quilt style 9 patches to a side front and back and three down each side and three on the bottom and old belts the nylon kind work great for straps

good luck on your crafting

Thanks Brianna
