I was put on meds, in September for panic, and anxiety, and was symptom free for quite a while. Now, all of a sudden, in the last few weeks, I seem to be having episodes several times a day. I know, the holidays, and the mess with my daughters school, is causing it. But it is really interfering with my day. Not sure what to do. Just feels like I spend, half my day, telling myself to take deep breaths, until I can relax a little, before the next waves comes on. Thanks for listening. Donna

I use to have severe panic attacks when I was with my ex. The way he talked to me and treated me, is what brought them on. At one point between the panic/anxiety attacks and having GERD, I was taking 17 pills a day, it was horrible. I tried therapy and it worked for awhile, then I tried cognitive therapy, you write down how you feel and keep a journal (wish I had the name of the book), and it really helped me alot girlie, plus when I divorced my ex, that helped too. LOL. Then a couple years ago, I thought I was having an "episode of panic" an went to the ER, I found out I have a heart condition called PSVT and my heart rate goes sky high and I can't breathe, so the cardio dr. told me that back when I had those severe panic attacks, it was probably my psvt (I wasn't diagnosed with it til 05). I do still have anxiety, but haven't had a panic attack in years. Sorry for rambling, if I find the name of the book that helped me, I'll email ya girlie. I do think that the stress of the holidays and the goings on at your dd school probably kicked it up. Hugs, Rebekka

If you suffer from panic and anxiety disorder & you take Xanax try this. "Whenever you are having an attack put the PILL under your tongue, it gets in your bloodstream faster!"

I don't know how many times I had to do that, it taste NASTY but it really works fast. I have had panic and anxiety disorder since 1989. The first thing they had me do was to get off the caffeine and it does work. I was really amazed. Then I was on Xanax for 4 years and was able to finally get off of it and go to other med's which have help so much!!!

But I don't think it is bothing me as I drink it at 4 in the morning, and the panic starts at noon time. and gets worse as the day goes on.
