Right now, it is snowing and blowing (nothing unusual there)and we're supposed to get around 8 inches today, but after 10pm, the heavy snow is supposed to turn to heavy rain (ok - warming trend, right?) but then by tomorrow night, it is supposed to be -13 with the wind chill. There must be this little teeny, tiny heat wave that's going to pass through and then the bottom drops out. There are roofs collapsing all over the county...this isn't going to help.

about the record snow that's been dumped on you in just the past month. It said your area doesn't even usually get that much for an entire winter! I hate to be the barer of bad news, however, but the article also said that there are 2 more snow storms on the way in the next few days so if you're not aware of it already..... now you know. :( I'm sorry this is happening to you. I think the weather has gone crazy this winter, wondering if it's a delayed reaction to that el nina/el nino period we had a few yrs. back..... Sheesh!

My son and I spent 4 hours each on the roof today shoveling and barely made a dent. We will be back up tomorrow. There is 5 feet of snow up there...compacted now...not powder. DH and I are seriously talking about moving this year now. This is ridiculous.

We're currently under a Winter Storm Watch til 6 a.m. tomorrow morning. I haven't gotten any weather alert emails yet so not sure what all it entails but freezing rain was mentioned last night. :(
