Harris Teeter is tripling coupons tomorrow on coupons up to .99 and they are doubling certain 1.00 coupons on certain items you can only use 20 coupons so i'm planning on making a few trips or making my husband go with me or like I said going back. I'm going through coupons right now and making a list so I dont miss any of the deals I think I can get.
I have never done this before so I'm excited and nervous at the same time :)
Wish me Luck I'll post my deals tomorrow if I get to go.
Right now the weather is sooo nasty here the wind is blowing at 45mph and gusting up to 70 mph so its extremely cold

that is the sales they have listed in there paper that I want to go for but I have lots of other coupons i want to use when i go there if it makes the items a good deal.
I know these arent free or a huge steal but i'm happy that they are tripling and I can go.
i had picked through some coupons and came out with 25 i wanted to take but can only use 20 at at time so i'll go with 20 that i really want to use and if i do good i'll come home and get some more coupons and go again

When I do triples I usually take 5 envies (number them 1 to 5) and in the first one I put the 20 coupons that I want to use first and if they are out of that item for my coupon I take those coupons and put at the back of envie #2 and continue on with #1 and just keep going that way until you have used 20 coupons and eventually you will eliminate envie 1 and be on envie 2--
I hope this makes sense but it is helpful if you go from one store to another and this way you will not have to go back home.

I do have more then 20 coupons to take and i have envelopes marked and sorted out because if they dont have what i want i can maybe find something with another coupon i only have 1 harris teeter i can go to that is close by me so i'll go there tomorrow sometime and i can always go back on saturday and sunday so i've picked through coupons and am hopeing to get good deals or atleast something that is good for me since i dont really have any stores that double coupons around here..they are building a safeway near where i go to the gym so hopefully i can go there and get doubles when they open it up

well I gathered all my coupons lastnight and made my list of what i really wanted at harris teeter and went there today and was disappointed when i started looking for the items that were on sale and i had coupons for and couldnt find hardly anything it was gone the shelves were empty why do stores have a sale like this and then not stock the shelves and when i asked they said oh no rain checks and the triples are only happening for 3 days so my best deal i got was the herbal essence shampoo for .99 a bottle and a big thing of maxwell house coffee for 4.99 i did save 70 dollars with coupons but i still spent more then i wanted but oh well.
i thought i was going to get a really good deal on bounty 8pk paper towels they were on sale for 5.99 and i had a 1.00 coupon and that was suppose to double so i could of gotten them for 2.99 but the catch was you had to buy 2 pks in order to use your 1.00 coupon for it to double so that was a bust
my next find was deer park water 24pks for 2.99 so i got 2 of those because that was all you were allowed to get
so then i went to scope out the winetags and almost every bottle of wine that had a winetag on it you had to buy the wine to use the coupon on like seafood so i didnt take them
ok enough crying from me i'll just suck it up and go on about my day

I'm sorry that your trip wasn't a huge success but it still sounds like you got some great deals. I too, wonder why stores have huge sales, then they don't have enough stock and don't do rain checks, it's frustrating. Hugs, Rebekka
