My daughter's father passed away on Nov. 13 in Mexico. He was brutally murdered so this season has been really hard on us but we are doing fine.
I have been calling different agencies in Mexico and keep getting passed from one person/agency to another. I really need to try to get a death certificate so that my "special needs" child can start receiving part of his social security benefits. I'm at a loss. I've had to reschedule my original appointment as I'm not having any luck with obtaining a death certificate.
His parents do not have a phone in the home so the only contact I have it by writing a letter. I asked them to send me once three times now but they won't even reply to me at all. I'm wondering how long it takes to get a death certificate in Mexico - maybe they have gone to the office already and applied but just haven't received it.
If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.
