went away for the holidays left christmas eve came back today guess what i am now in a hotel room thanks to someone feeling the need to rob my house over 17,000 worth of stuff is gone ... they took every tv we had every dvd player over 50 dvds they took every playstation games we had they took hand made shelfs and nicknacks they took pictures off the walls and paper work they took pennies out of the kids penny banks .and alot of other stuff they broke into the fron door with what the cops are saying a crow bar or a large screw driver so the lock is no longer any good ... they left the freezer door open so everything melted and the ice cream is all over the floor ... they took all the christmas deocoration you name it they went thur it and you name it they took it .. i mean they actually took pictures that was bought at a dollar store off the walls .. i cant believe someone would be so cruel. needless to say im in a hotel room for the next week and the cops have gotten so many finger prints its not funny they basicly almost striped the whole house other then minor things like dishes etc .. just what i need in life is to start all over again ..my heart is broken thats for sure .. 1|1|So sorry to hear this they sure sound like a's I hope you had home owners ins|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|18:43:10|12/30/2008|

we had someone try to break into our house luckily they were unable to get in and when the police took finger prints they said it was a teenager or younger person that had tried to do it and they had used a crow bar and screwdriver to it to our house also and we still have the marks on our doors from it.
I'm so sorry to hear that this has happened to you and your family. Prayers going out for you.

we got robbed aboutt 18 years ago, during the day on Valentines day. Got renter insurance and a dog, after that, never recovered anything, but did not lose near what you did. I hope you are able to recover some of your things.

I believe she was attached to there rear end as they ran like heck out of the house.I got the dog for my wife because I worked long hours and about an hour and a half away. We went to the animal shelter and they let us play with the dogs. When they let Missy out she started running laps around the building when my wife went to pet her she tried biting my wife. I said we'll take this one Missy was the most loyal dog when my wife stood up the dog stood up when she sat down the dog sat down.

My ex and I were robbed right after my first son was born, it was so heartbreaking because the idiots stole the camera that had film from pics taken when he came home from the hospital a few days earlier. I think that is what hurt the most, I figured I could replace everything else but not those pictures. Also when I lived in Oxnard back in 2001, some idiots came right in our backyard and stole our brand new BBQ, we only used it once. It was a really nice one and even had the sink on it. They had to lift it over the fence somehow cause the gate was still locked. I hope they catch those creeps and you can recover your items. Hugs, Rebekka

My hubby and I are homebodies - but a certain Tuesday we were taking his coworker from France out to dinner. Weird thing was the robbers actually cut the phone line at 1 pm that day (apparently to try to keep an alarm from calling out). Anyway, we didn't have a security system anyway. They threw a brick at the back sliding glass door - broke the outside panel. The neighbors yelled at them (3 teenagers), and called the cops. The kids all scattered when the cops came. Later in the night they came back - used the brick on the small window over the kitchen sink. They took similar things to your break-in - TVs, DVDs, Playstation, Xbox along with lots of games and movies. They took all my husband's guitars, keyboard, 3 computers, even took a foreign money collection I had had since I was a kid. We estimated everything to be at about $24,000. The very next morning they found all our stuff. It was a kid in our own neighborhood that had stolen it. He and his brother got in a fight that morning (about having all the stolen goods there at his mom's house). Mom called the police because the boys started physically fighting. The cops found almost everything - there were maybe 5 things that weren't recovered (my foreign coin collection being one of them). The kid ran away but has since been caught. He's supposed to go to trial later this month. I still get really hurt and upset when I think about it but fortunately I don't think about it every day like I used to. It happened a month after we got married, and 1 week after we found out we were pregnant - so it's kinda sad because I always think about the break-in when I think of those happy things. But we were lucky, we got our stuff back, and hopefully we'll see justice served soon.

im glad no one was in the house when they came in so no one got hurt all the stuff can be replaced except a corner shelf .. an elderly man in my nesighborhood hand made it for me he was so sweet he would walk around the neighborhood every day makeing sure each dog got a bone even though he had no dogs of his own he said it was his way of exerciseing and playing with the animals about 3 months after he brought me the shelf he made he passed away so there is no way of replaceing the love he put into that shelf .. its a shame life changes so much when i grew up people didnt steal i dont think i ever remember my mom and dads house getting broke into .. lord i dont think we ever locked the doors windows always open cause we didnt have air condtion now days you can hardly move with out someone stealing something or someone getting hurt .. shame the world revoled in such a bad way and not for the better ..
